One of the most exciting things about fashion is that it has a tendency to take inspiration from anywhere and everywhere! One minute we're all scrabbling to get hold of the perfectly over-sized 70s sunglasses, the next minute everyone's going crazy for harem pants with heels and you can bet within another ten minutes we'll all be claiming that we never actually thought there was anything that wrong with 'double denim' (which, by the way, there totally is).

So with that in mind, it might not be particularly surprising to find out that one of the key looks for Spring 2010 is tattoos. Now before you start contemplating which body-part to permanently adorn and fretting at the thought of needles, no one is suggesting that anyone - no matter how dedicated to fashion - boldly goes out there and inks themselves up to prove their style credentials. Far from it!

As we all know fashion is a fickle mistress, so to satiate our temporary need for this season's latest look, Chanel has come to the rescue with sets of transferable inkings. Phew! Thankfully these temporary tattoos are a far cry from those of our youth, instead featuring delicate strands of chains and strings of pearls.

If even temporary tattoos are a little too permanent, there are many items out there at the moment featuring traditional tattoo style prints. T-shirts, shirts and dresses all cut from ink-inspired cloth are a great way to tap into the tattoo trend, as are the tattoo tights that we were all so fond of in our teenage years.
