Well it certainly seems that January is the month for glittering celebrity award shows, as following on from the Golden Globes and the Brit Awards nomination party, last Wednesday saw the O2 Arena host the 15th National Television Awards. As with the Golden Globes, the weather outside was rather miserable, but regardless of the drizzle, many famous faces from British television put on their glad rags and did their best to impress! Unfortunately, however, not many of them succeeded!

There were quite a few contenders for the 'worst dressed' award and competition was fierce. Hollyoaks' Bronagh Waugh wore a frock that appeared to be fashioned from an old pair of curtains and salmon coloured swimsuit material, Michelle Heaton's dress was typically tacky and Zoe Lister sported a magic-eye type dress that was more eye-watering than edgy. Konnie Huq also let herself down in a hideous pink and blue number (which she wore with red shoes!) and the usually flawless Louise Redknapp was swamped by an ill-fitting and unflattering black gown. However without question the winner of the 'worst dressed accolade was, rather predictably, Katie Price, who turned up wearing a hideous dress that wouldn't have looked out of place on Malibu Barbie.

Luckily there were some ladies whose efforts ensured that the evening wasn't a complete fashion washout... Kate Thornton looked elegant in her floor-length white dress, Fearne Cotton was as stylish as ever in a chic purple mini, Cheryl Cole oozed glamour in her silver-grey gown and Dannii Minogue really raised the fashion stakes in her bold monochrome prom-dress and bright red heels.
