Kimberly Ovitz grew up in Los Angeles and started her fashion label in 2008 at the age of 25. She is the daughter of Mike Ovitz, former talent agent and larger than life character. Her style has been described as a US lifestyle brand with equestrian influences, largely due to her being competing horse rider when she was growing up, which has added to her understanding of discipline and tradition. After training in fashion in New York, she was apprenticed to Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel in Paris. She studied art history at Brown University, and with an appreciation of fashion history, returned to Los Angeles to work with several designers.

The 'It' Guide

The Autumn/Winter collection is an example of Miu Miu's fashion forward-thinking as it combines traditionally autumnal shades of orange, green and brown with space-age metallic, blues, bold prints and high glamour. Following in the steps of such starlets as Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan, French singer Vanessa Paradis is the current face of the collection and she certainly brings some Parisian chic to the photo campaign. The contrast of her scarlet lips and auburn hair with postbox red tights and towering high heels brings old 40's style glamour bang up-to-date with flair.

Christian Louboutin

Anne Howard

Christian Louboutin has been wooing womens' bank cards for decades with his sexy, fun and flirty shoe designs. Although now a global fashion icon, his love for shoes began in 1979 on the streets of Paris. Whilst walking to school he noticed a placard that instructed women not to scratch the wooden floor of a museum with high heeled shoes. Louboutin was irritated by this sign and out of sympathy for the chic Parisian women, he started designing shoes that had compressed buckles and softer soles. These early designs became the fore-runners of many of his later works.
