Maternity Style - 29 Weeks Pregnant
Another week has flown by which means that there’s now less than 11 weeks to go until my due date! Quite where the time is going I don’t know, but I do know that each week it’s getting more and more challenging to style ‘le bump’. Today’s outfit is one of the bolder choices (it’s all relative) I've made since becoming pregnant and I even upped the ante with my lipstick shade in tribute to the brighter colours in today’s look.
The colourful top is from Mothercare’s Blooming Marvellous range, I instantly fell in love when I saw it, the colours are so wonderfully bright and vivid and it makes such a change from the more muted tones I've been wearing for the past few weeks.
My jacket is from Warehouse and… take note… it isn't part of a maternity range! As it’s designed to be worn open I can get away with wearing it now despite the fact my bump is bigger than ever.
I’m still getting plenty of wear out of my maternity jeans from New Look, so much so that I think I’m going to have to invest in a cropped pair as soon as the weather starts to warm up. They’re superbly comfy and allow me to keep up a gentle homage to my pre-pregnancy style.
My ‘Choos’ were acquired last year and are the perfect antidote to any pregnancy-related ankle swelling, I skip past all of that when looking at my feet and focus only on the simple beauty of those pumps.
The handbag is from Mulberry, it originally accompanied me on my trip to America about three years ago and has been used frequently ever since. The leather has proved to be remarkably resilient (especially given the fact that it's had a bottle of red wine split on it...), so hopefully I can continue to get plenty of use out of it once baby arrives!
Finally, to accessorise, I wore a necklace that I purchased a couple of years ago in River Island and my YSL Arty ring that was a gift from my lovely friend Lucy for my 30th birthday last year.
